WSP Italia has a new opportunity for a Junior Environmental Engineer / Environmental Chemist to join our Sustainability Services team. The selected candidate will become part of our multidisciplinary and international team, supporting the development of projects across various industrial sectors.
The role requires frequent on-site presence at an industrial facility in Ravenna; therefore, residency in Ravenna or nearby areas is required.
YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?
The role involves managing and analysing industrial environmental data, including resource consumption, air and water emissions, noise, and waste, as well as interpreting the results of environmental monitoring activities. Responsibilities also include managing Environmental Authorizations in compliance with Italian regulations (such as AIA and AUA) and preparing technical reports. The position requires regular communication with relevant authorities, particularly in relation to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedures.
WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Chemistry and has 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within environmental consulting or an industrial environment. A solid understanding of environmental assessment tools, environmental and social management systems, and EHS due diligence and audits is required. The candidate should be a strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different offices and regions. International study or work experience and specific additional training are considered an advantage. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English are essential.
