As a Backend Software Engineer in the Consumer Wealth team, you will build and operate services that help users save and invest at scale. You’ll work on mission‑critical wealth management features within a fast‑moving fintech environment and collaborate across Product and UX to deliver reliable financial products. You’ll own design‑to‑production trajectories for core wealth services, emphasizing data integrity and transactional precision. Expect an AI‑assisted, modern tech stack and opportunities to shape wealth tech at scale.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, test, and operate backend services for savings and investment products using Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.
* Develop core wealth functionalities like Invested Money Box, automated savings goals, and investment portfolios with high reliability.
* Own AWS‑based infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and contribute to architectural improvements.
* Collaborate with Product and UX teams, participate in code reviews, post‑mortems, and refactoring to promote best practices.
* Troubleshoot complex issues, investigate incidents, and share learnings to improve system health.
* Leverage AI tools to enhance coding efficiency, root cause analysis, and documentation.
* Translate financial requirements into scalable technical solutions while maintaining precision in wealth systems.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of backend experience in fast‑paced environments with scalable microservices.
* Strong Java & Spring Boot expertise, cloud exposure (AWS preferred), and relational databases.
* Focus on performance, data integrity, and transactional consistency in wealth tech.
* Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and communicate technical ideas clearly.
* Passion for FinTech, wealth management, or startups.
* English fluency.
