We are looking for Senior Software Developer.
The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions for industrial applications, with a focus on low-level communication and integration with hardware devices. The role requires strong analytical skills, autonomy, and the ability to work collaboratively within an Agile team, in the specific, he/she will:
1. Develop, maintain, and optimize Delphi-based applications, focusing on robust communication with industrial devices.
2. Extend and support existing software, adding new hardware support and improving real-time data communication using industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus RTU/TCP OPCUA).
3. Implement and optimize asynchronous communication and buffer management for serial (RS485) and TCP/IP interfaces.
4. Integrate new modules into existing architectures, ensuring compliance with project conventions and scalability.
5. Collaborate with QA for automated testing and debugging (unit testing, CI/CD).
6. Document code and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
7. Participate in Agile development processes (Scrum/Kanban), contributing to continuous improvement and code quality.
8. Support and coach junior developers, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
9. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Biomedical, Telecommunications, Automation) or related field.
10. At least 6 years of professional experience as a software developer in structured environments.
11. Solid experience in object-oriented programming (Delphi/Object Pascal with RAD preferred, C++, C#).
12. Proven experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP), TCP/IP socket programming, OPC, and serial interfaces (RS485).
13. Experience with database management (SQL/NoSQL; Embarcadero and/or, PostgreSQL is a plus).
14. Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (DUnit, TestInsight or similar).
15. Experience with version control and tracking tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jira).
16. Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies; experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
17. Familiarity with operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, RTOS); experience with SCADA/PLC programming is a plus.
18. Skills in scripting, virtualization environments, and cybersecurity concepts are valued.
19. Experience or knowledge in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
20. Ability to design and implement basic machine learning models for industrial data analysis or predictive maintenance.
21. Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
22. Understanding of how to integrate machine learning components into existing software architectures.
23. Interest in exploring AI-driven solutions for industrial automation and process optimization.
24. Experience in the field of cyber security, including secure coding practices and vulnerability assessment.
25. Experience in networking and related protocols.
26. Experience with virtual machine technologies (e.g. VMware, Docker, etc.).
27. Experience in domain management (e.g. LDAP).
