Acting as a senior HR business partner, the successful candidate will serve as the primary advisor for line managers and employees on a wide range of HR topics. The role includes overseeing the employee lifecycle, running daily HR operations, fostering employee relations, and contributing to organizational effectiveness through innovative HR policies and processes. Operating within a multinational and technical environment, the Senior Manager will ensure HR strategies align with the needs of technical functions, supporting growth and operational excellence. Your Impact In alignment with MSC UK HR and HR Corporate teams based in Geneva, and considering local regulations, the Senior Manager acts as a strategic HR Business Partner for Malta Yard Management (Italy) - Le Torri Office, Genoa, and MSC CTD, Sorrento. Partner with technical leadership to manage the full employee lifecycle, embedding technology and data-driven approaches. Collaborate with the UK Talent Acquisition team to attract high-caliber technical talent. Ensure effective organizational design and development in technical environments. Align total reward solutions with market trends to support retention. Support leaders in fostering employee engagement and professional growth. Advise managers on employee performance, relations, and disciplinary issues, ensuring legal compliance. Manage local HR processes for regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Implement talent management frameworks, including performance and succession planning. Use HR analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Promote a culture of innovation within HR operations, leveraging digital tools. Stay updated on HR legislation and industry trends to evolve HR practices. Your Journey so far BSc / BA in HR Management, Law, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of Italian employment law and HR practices. Experience with Italian Trade Unions. Leadership experience in multinational technical or industrial sectors. Familiarity with lean maintenance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Ability to manage HR in complex, cross-cultural organizations. Strategic mindset with technical leadership partnership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR reporting tools.
