Offer Description
The PhD program provides interdisciplinary training for artistic researchers in performing musical arts, specializing in the analysis and interpretation of texts, objects, and discourses across specific artistic languages. The three-year program develops advanced skills for research on musical performative cultures and practices in multiethnic and multicultural contexts, in the era of gender dynamics and artificial intelligence. Special attention is given to the interaction between new multimedia languages, AI, and musical practices within their social, political, and ideological contexts. The unified curriculum adopts a trans- and multidisciplinary approach, integrating history, anthropology, art-historical, socio-musicological, visual, and literary studies. Collaboration with companies, research institutes, and foundations supports dissemination of results and the prototyping of tools and management systems.
