Ph3Position /h3pManager, Accounting /p h3Location /h3pCalgary AB /p h3About the Role /h3pLodgeLink’s Accounting team has a full‑time opportunity for a Manager, Accounting based in bCalgary, AB /b. Reporting to the Controller, this role is a key leadership position within LodgeLink’s Financial Accounting team. The Manager, Accounting will lead a team of four, oversee monthly and quarterly reporting, and collaborate with Corporate Financial Reporting to support external financial disclosures. In addition, the role is responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with IFRS. /p pThe ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, a CPA designation and 2‑3 years of experience in people leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative, detail‑oriented accounting professional to contribute to a fast‑growing online marketplace company. /p pThis is an in‑office role, with 20% flexibility to work from home. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liResponsible for month‑end close and ensuring comprehensive variance analysis and reporting are completed on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. /li liProvide guidance and leadership to the Accounting team with oversight of month‑end accounting entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analysis, and interdivisional and elimination entries for various intercompany transactions. /li liPresent monthly internal financial reporting with variance analysis to Senior Leadership. Review monthly capitalization entries for internally developed software, ensuring the entries align with IFRS treatment and review and intangible asset policy as required. /li liSupport quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting cycles, working closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and Corporate FPA. /li liAssist with the preparation of standalone financial statements and full note disclosure, and other external reporting requirements as needed. /li liLiaise with Corporate Accounting as BU lead to engage with external auditors for all quarterly and annual financial reporting periods. /li liResearch complex accounting issues and ensure alignment with IFRS standards and industry practices. /li liProactively identify and implement preventative and detective controls to aid in the accuracy and timeliness of financial and KPI reporting. /li liEnsure proper adherence to all administrative and operational processes, procedures, and policies in relation to corporate accounting functions. /li liExercise professional judgment to strike the right balance between the business objectives of the division and the Company’s requirements under IFRS. /li liSupport management in all accounting, tax, treasury, and controls related issues. /li libOther ad hoc duties and special projects as required. /b /li liCollaborate with the Data Product Management teams on process improvements and platform integrations as it relate to accounting. /li liPerform other ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned. /li libPeople Leadership Lead /b, coach, and develop a team of four accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. /li liSet clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback, guidance, and professional development opportunities. /li liPromote a positive and inclusive team environment that aligns with LodgeLink’s values and supports employee engagement and retention. /li liEncourage innovation and process improvement through knowledge sharing and cross‑functional collaboration. /li liAct as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for accounting best practices within the team and broader organization. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field. /li libProfessional accounting designation required (CPA). /b /li li5‑7 years post‑graduate experience with a strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting. /li liStrong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with audit practices and principles. /liliProven analytical skills and demonstrated initiative to solve problems. /li liExtensive experience using and learning various ERP Systems and Microsoft Applications. /li libDemonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. /b /li liExcellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and other departments. /li liPossess a professional and ethical attitude with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines. /li liWorking experience with Oracle NetSuite is considered an asset. /li /ul pAbout LodgeLink LodgeLink, a Black Diamond Group company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is more than just a digital marketplace and ecosystem for crew travel; we’re a caring tech company on a mission to transform workforce travel.
