Milan, Cremona or fully remote As Tech Lead, you will drive the technical evolution of Agile Telecom’s messaging platform, owning the SMS gateway and internal Tools ecosystem end-to-end. You will combine hands-on Java development with technical leadership, helping the team build scalable, reliable and observable systems while contributing to the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices. You’ll work closely with Engineering, DevOps and Product stakeholders in a lean and highly technical environment.
Develop, review and maintain core Java services powering the SMS gateway and internal Tools platform. Troubleshoot issues across application, JVM, Linux and networking layers. Collaborate with DevOps on scalability, HA, disaster recovery and infrastructure optimization.
Lead code reviews, pair programming and technical mentoring activities. Define engineering standards, development guidelines and quality practices. Support delivery planning and coordinated releases with the team.
AI & Innovation Lean and senior engineering environment with direct impact on decisions. Full remote work within Italy, with occasional travel to Cremona. A collaborative culture focused on innovation, continuous learning, and customer excellence. 5–8 years of experience in backend software engineering. ~ Strong hands-on experience with modern Java ecosystems. ~ Solid understanding of JVM internals, Linux systems and networking fundamentals. ~ Italian fluent or C1 level; English B2+.
