Meaningful Work from Day One
This position administers HR processes, maintaining organizational information, problem solving, and collaborating to complete assignments that include employee data administration and management, reporting, analysis, performance management, onboarding, and organizational changes. Also serves as the HR point of contact for employees on day‑to‑day business HR matters.
This is an office/hybrid role (4 days a week at Milan office and Fridays working from home).
This is a fixed‑term contract (duration: 8 months).
What You Can Expect
* Responsible for managing employee data and supporting the Senior HR Manager as it relates to open positions, employment offers, compensation/job evaluation, benefit‑related communication, termination process, performance management process, and new hire support including but not limited to communication, orientation, and onboarding.
* Contribute to nurture the B‑F culture and support employee engagement through internal and external surveys, the organization and roll‑out of HR initiatives (ie inclusion, Live Well Act, etc), and internal communication.
* Provide basic HR guidance to employees on various topics and issues in partnership with the Senior HR Manager.
* Manage the payroll process efficiently, liaising with the GBS team and the payroll provider to ensure data accuracy.
* Coordinate with the Senior HR Manager and Total Rewards team through key lifecycle processes (performance and growth planning, performance management, merit and bonus, job and compensation changes, leaves of absence, and other employee relations situations).
* Report on, research, and analyze data supporting the Senior HR Manager and managers to develop insights and recommended changes regarding workforce planning, performance management, and all HR‑related matters.
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with a broad scope of employees across Brown‑Forman to ensure timely coordination and accomplishment of assigned responsibilities.
* Lead HR business process execution, including functional area incentive and performance management processes, reporting, auditing, and implementation of information in Workday.
* Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and implement changes within the scope of the role.
* Partner with HR to understand and own the process of creating files necessary to load organization changes into Workday, coordinate with People Technology (HRIT) to load changes, and audit organization changes prioritizing data integrity.
* Learn new Workday functionality and act as a subject‑matter expert on the team.
What You Bring To The Table
* A minimum of 3 years experience in HR generalist/HR systems responsibilities.
* Fluent in Italian and advanced English (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
* Demonstrated knowledge of applicable employment and labor laws.
* Demonstrated proficiency in standard office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, shared file management, and HRIS.
* Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in responding to requests for data, resolving problems, and effectively handling confidential information and materials.
* Must be able to plan, organize, work independently, and complete assignments promptly and with little oversight in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
* Demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail.
* Detail oriented, process‑thinking, customer‑focused, problem solver; able to work with a team and independently; analytical approach to information and workforce challenges.
