Based in Italy, we're currently seeking for our new Field Service Engineer.
Missions and duties:
- Support installation of new systems and upgrades at customer sites across the EMEA region, with the required assistance if needed
- Assist with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting tasks.
- Perform basic diagnostic activities on electro‑mechanical equipment and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Support senior FSEs in conducting onsite customer training and system familiarization.
- Provide courteous and professional support to customers during service visits.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and system audits following established procedures.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams regarding activities and follow‑ups.
- Read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical drawings (training provided).
- Complete service documentation, trip reports, and time/expense entries accurately and on time.
- Travel frequently across EMEA (up to 70–90%, depending on workload).
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
Profile:
- Current Field Service experience in Europe is strongly preferred.
- Technical aptitude, fast learner, and adaptable to new technologies.
- Hands‑on experience in: installation, alignment, wiring termination, and commissioning of precision electro‑mechanical equipment
- building mechanical frames and support structures
- Skilled in mechanical tools, including: high‑speed drilling, drilling hardened steel, stainless steel, or concrete, tapping and threading, mechanical anchoring
- Skills in technical documentation (electronic forms, reports, SOP creation).
- Strong customer‑facing communication skills, able to explain complex topics clearly.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, self‑driven, and able to manage independent work.
- Experience with planning and executing preventive maintenance activities.
- Strong follow‑up and ownership of assigned tasks.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or short‑notice travel based on customer needs.
- Italian and English speaking mandatory / French is a plus
Additional but not mandatory skills:
- Exposure to vision systems, sensors, or industrial inspection technologies.
- Basic experience with PLCs, automation, or robotics.
- Experience with mechanical assembly or simple wiring tasks.
- Ability to read more advanced engineering schematics.
- Technical writing or documentation experience.
- Basic programming knowledge (PLC, Python, C++, etc.).
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or machining.
