Our accident and incident reduction strategy is working but more focus is needed to achieve our aim of Target Zero, with zero impacts to the environment and our people. /p pThe Regional HSE Manager EMEA will lead Environmental, Health Safety (EHS) activities, provide expertise on EHS within the EMEA region and actively support the operational EHS team with guidance and technical advice required. They will drive, support, challenge and inform the wider management teams to inspire and motivate them to attain higher levels of safety performance and compliance with relevant legislation. They will review current and past performance to identify concerns and opportunities for improvement and coach this approach into the departmental teams. They will work with all department heads and regional leadership to reinforce a highly engaged and inclusive environment and health safety culture. They actively support the Senior VP Supply Chain EMEA in driving high performance EHS across all EMEA locations through delivery of strategic goals and improvements aligned with the Global EHS strategy. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liProactively engage with and influence the management and local EHS teams to drive safety and occupational health improvements. /li liGuide the local EHS teams to deliver a first-class EHS service to their customers. /li liPlan and coordinate proactive Health and Safety support activities across the region, ensuring alignment with local Safety Improvement Plans. /li liEnsure compliance with environmental, health and safety standards, policy and legislation across all distribution centres and warehouses within the region. /li liEnsure Operations Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work are suitable and sufficient and kept up to date. /li liSupport the development of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification by ensuring the management systems are regularly reviewed and updated. /li liProvide via local EHS teams an efficient day-to-day environmental, health and safety service with practical, technical advice and guidance to internal customers. /li liWork with local teams to implement all relevant Global EHS Standards and Policies. /li liProvide ongoing development of EHS policies, procedures and guidance in line with statutory requirements and current best practice. /li liEnsure all monthly, quarterly and statutory reporting requirements are met. /li liProvide regular performance updates to the Senior VP Supply Chain EMEA for EHS information from across the region, including coordinating EHS information for the QBR process. /li liReview, analyse and present EHS performance data to inform and influence actions/plans for the wider teams. /li liLead and support investigations into significant incidents to determine root causes and corrective action planning. /li liConduct site inspections/audits to ensure policies and procedures are properly implemented. /li liRole model RS Values and drive engagement. /li liSupport wider initiatives and improvements across the EMEA region as required. /li /ul h3How I Make a Difference In This Role /h3 pAn exceptional leader in EHS, this role will help drive the EHS strategy throughout the region by working with local teams to achieve Target Zero. /p h3Essential Skills Experience /h3 ul liExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to inform and influence audiences at all levels. /li liHighly developed influencing skills. /li liAbility to evaluate and challenge complex specialist and/or technical EHS subjects. /li liExperience of providing EHS leadership. /li liGood numeracy with proven analytical skills. /li liAwareness of different cultural environments and ability to adapt approach accordingly. /li /ul h3Desirable Skills Experience /h3 ul liContinuous Improvement experience. /li liFluent in English and one other European language. /li /ul h3About RS Group /h3 pAcross the industrial design, manufacturing, and maintenance worlds, we are the digital destination for product and service solutions to help our customers with the maintenance, repair, and operation of their businesses.
