For our client, a leading company in the Automotive sector, we are looking for a:
Procurement Interiors Senior Buyer
He/She will report to the Head of Electrics and Interiors and will be responsible for the complete management of the material group within Interiors commodities.
As a member of the Procurement Dept. in the assigned commodities, he/she will be a fundamental key contributor to the achievement of the company objectives. The mission of the Procurement Dept. is to support the company in delivering cutting‑edge technical solutions on time, with perfect quality and at the right cost, so that the company can always exceed customer expectations.
He/She will contribute to innovation scouting (both technologies and supplier base) and will be the focal point between Suppliers and the Product Development team.
He/She will be responsible for supporting the definition of the supply chain strategy, considering all market constraints and future trends.
Main Responsibilities
* Leading price negotiations and mediating award decisions through a worldwide Bidder’s List
* Identifying and leading cost‑saving ideas, including supplier visits at plant
* Scouting for new suppliers and innovation with a strong focus on economics and business sustainability
* Analysing new market trends and deriving acquisition strategies in the Electric and Electronic commodities
* Being an active player in the Group Commodity Meeting, aligning the purchasing strategy with the other brands
* Ensuring early involvement in projects to define the best technology to match project needs and targets
* Working with the latest e‑procurement solutions
* Being an active member of cross‑functional teams
* Being an active member of cross‑brand team activities
* Leading technical/technological decisions considering circular sustainability
* Evaluating supply chain performance
Job Skills and requirements
* University degree in Engineering/Economics
* 5–7 years of experience and proven competence in Interiors components
* Competence in injection/thermoforming components or in other commodities is considered a plus
* Knowledge of IATF/ISO requirements is considered a plus
* Fluent in English; German will be considered a plus
* Good negotiation skills
* Ability to manage complex supply chains
* Target oriented
* Team player
* Strong analytical skills
