Job Description:\nTechnical Sales Manager - Tiles & Engobes\nAre you looking for a role where you can combine technical expertise, customer interaction and real business impact in the ceramic tile industry?

\n

At Sibelco, you will become a key technical reference\nfor tile, engobe and glaze\nmanufacturers, helping customers improve their products and production processes through our industrial mineral solutions. You will work on a wide variety of tile manufacturers, support trials directly on their sites, and collaborate with internal teams to identify solutions and business growth opportunities.

\n

As\nTechnical Sales Tiles & Engobes\n, you will support companies producing\ntiles, engobes and glazes\n, working closely with production and technical teams to define quality and product specifications, insuring strong product performance.

\n

Location & Travel\nThis role is based in\nMaranello, Italy\n, with a hybrid setup:

\n

\n
- Expected presence in the Maranello lab/office: around 2 days per week
\n
- Remaining time split between customer visits, international travel and home office
\n

\nCustomers are located across\nItaly, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Poland and other regions\n. The role involves\nfrequent travel, approximately 8–10 days per month\n, including time spent on customer sites during trials and implementation phases.\nWe are looking for someone who is already based near Maranello or willing to relocate. Candidates from other\nEuropean Union countries\nwill also be considered, provided they are open to relocating and working from Italy.\n

Fluency In English Is Required.\nYour Impact In this Role\nAs Technical Sales Tiles & Engobes, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Customer Complaint Management
\n
- Lead investigations and root cause analysis
\n
- Implement corrective actions and follow up on execution
\n
- Communicate findings and solutions to customers
\n
- Quality & Product Performance
\n
- Monitor product and plant quality trends
\n
- Identify deviations and support resolution with Operations
\n
- Prepare and share quality reports with internal teams and customers
\n
- Customer Relationship Management
\n
- Build strong relationships with customer technical and production teams
\n
- Understand customer needs and production processes
\n
- Support product trials and gather feedback
\n
- Technical Support & Continuous Improvement
\n
- Support customers and plants in problem solving
\n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
\n
- Ensure alignment on product specifications
\n
- Market Intelligence
\n
- Monitor market trends and competitor products
\n
- Support leadership with insights to drive business decisions
\n

\nWhat You Bring To The Table\n

\n
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
\n
- Experience in a technical customer-facing role such as technical sales, technical support, production, process, or product quality within ceramics, tiles, industrial minerals or similar industries
\n
- Strong understanding of product performance, quality and problem-solving methodologies
\n
- Ability to analyze customer issues and support root cause analysis
\n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Technical & Innovation, Supply Chain and customers
\n
- Analytical mindset with a practical, solution-oriented approach
\n
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
\n
