Application deadline: June 5th 2026. /ppAbout the Role: We are seeking an Associate Editor or Editor to join our Books team focusing on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) within Mathematics. You will manage and develop a portfolio of academic books, working closely with authors, researchers, and internal stakeholders. Your role involves identifying emerging topics, acquiring new content, and shaping strategic direction. /ph3Role Responsibilities /h3ulliPortfolio development: Identify emerging trends in CSE and mathematics to grow and shape the book portfolio. /liliContent acquisition: Solicit, evaluate, and develop book proposals, including managing peer review. /liliStakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, researchers, and academic partners. /liliEditorial collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external contributors to develop the portfolio. /liliContract management: Negotiate publishing agreements with authors. /liliAuthor support: Guide authors through manuscript preparation and development. /liliProduction coordination: Prepare manuscripts for handover and remain key contact throughout production. /liliPerformance delivery: Contribute to achieving annual targets for contracts and publications. /liliRepresentation: Attend conferences and visit institutions to expand networks and promote the portfolio. /li /ulh3Experience, Skills Qualifications /h3pbEssential /b /pulliBachelor’s degree (preferably in a relevant field). /liliExcellent written and spoken English. /liliStrong organizational skills and attention to detail. /liliAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities. /liliStrong communication and relationship building skills. /liliProactive and solution-oriented mindset. /liliAbility to work both independently and collaboratively. /liliWillingness to travel for conferences and meetings. /li /ulpbFor Editor level /b /pulliProven experience in a similar editorial or publishing role. /li /ulpbDesirable /b /pulliDegree or PhD in mathematics or a related STEM field, ideally within CSE. /liliExperience in academic publishing (books or journals). /liliExperience in building academic networks or communities. /liliLeadership or team management experience. /li /ulpTo apply, submit a CV and a cover letter outlining your key ambitions in the role, including salary expectations and notice period.
