The RoleThe Investment Manager is an integral part of Data4's Investment team. The team sets the growth and funding strategy of the group, engaging in greenfield acquisitions and M&A to build out new data center assets/campuses and executing follow‐up investments at existing locations. The funding strategy covers both debt and equity funding from multiple sources. The position sits at the heart of the company and offers the opportunity to work directly with senior members of the management team, assisting with strategic decision‐making in business planning and ad‐hoc analyses. The successful candidate will be a self‐starter who enjoys working in a fast‐paced environment, has excellent communication skills, is detail‐oriented, intellectually curious, business savvy, and possesses a strong finance/valuation foundation. The Investment Manager reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer. Role locations: Milan, Italy or Madrid, Spain.Responsibilities
Funding Strategy:
Develop and implement corporate financing strategy, in conjunction with BrookfieldParticipate in corporate acquisitions and department sell‐down activities, including leading various workstreamsStructure joint‐ventures to expand the firm's reach and/or de‐risk growth opportunities
Growth Strategy:
Underwrite investment opportunities (greenfield and brownfield)Prepare marketing materials for both internal and external useOwn DD workstreamsOwn complex financial analysis and valuations related to M&A opportunities
Corporate Strategy:
Involved in drafting materials to discuss corporate strategy with the Executive Committee and Board of DirectorsOwn the business plan modelPerform ad‐hoc analyses
Technical Skills / IMS Certifications:
Respect and enforce certification policies in terms of: H&S – health and safety rules; Environment – environmental policies; Information security – information security policies; Energy – reducing energy consumption
Requirements
Education and experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, finance, or a related field5‐10 years of relevant experienceBanking background, ideally with Private Equity, Infrastructure or Real Estate experience
Skills
