Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development and deployment of Agentic Manufacturing Solutions (AMS), integrating LLM-powered Vertical AI Agents with MPC, OR, and DRL techniques.
* Support the creation of cognitive preprocessing modules for handling heterogeneous and noisy manufacturing data.
* Assist in designing optimization workflows using MPC for scheduling, resource allocation, and multi-objective decision-making under constraints.
* Participate in the prototyping and testing of DRL-based adaptive control strategies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate AI-driven decision-making in real manufacturing environments.
* Contribute to transparency and explainability modules to help operators understand and trust system recommendations.
* Engage in iterative design reviews with manufacturing experts to ensure alignment with shop-floor requirements and industrial standards.
* Analyze system performance to quantify improvements in productivity, quality, and resource efficiency.

Qualifications / Requirements:
* Italian work permit is required.
* Ready to graduate or recent graduate from an MSc or Master's degree.
* Major in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
* Prior experience in manufacturing, AI/ML projects, automation, or optimization is considered a plus.
* Participation in exchange programs will be considered a plus.
* Fluent in spoken and written English. Fluency in Italian is preferred.
* Knowledge of Python, data analysis, optimization methods, machine learning, or control systems is highly valued.
