Within the AI and Generative AI Development Unit, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team.Your mission is to build reliable, optimized, and maintainable AI systems, including traditional machine learning models, deep learning architectures, computer vision, NLP, and large language models (LLMs).
You will lead the design, development, and evolution of Generali's AI shared services and components, enabling other teams to implement AI projects efficiently.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives across the Generali Group.As a key bridge between Data Science/R&D; and Software/Cloud Engineering, you will close the gap between experimentation and large-scale production by defining best development practices and serving as a point of reference for the entire unit.Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Leading the design and development of shared services and reusable AI components to maximize code reusability across projectsCollaborating with stakeholders to define project timelines and ensure appropriate staffing to meet business requirements and leadLeading project implementation from proof of concept (PoC) through full developmentEstablishing and enforcing best practices (code standards, MLOps, dataset versioning, etc.) to guarantee scalable, secure, and high-quality AI solutions across all deployments, acting as a reference point at unit levelManage and mentor a team of AI developers, fostering skill development, performance excellence, and a collaborative work environment.
RequirementsOur ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fieldSolid background in AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and software engineering principlesProven experience in developing and deploying AI solutions (ML, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, LLMs)Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging FaceExperience with MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring)Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
