As a Thermal Systems Engineer, you will oversee the thermal architecture, sizing and analysis of a variety of new projects. You will work closely with our mechanical, CAD, and system engineers to assess feasibility and preliminary sizing of the thermal systems of our future vehicles.Key ResponsibilitiesIn your capacity as a Thermal Systems Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day-to-day your duties will include:Determining the thermal load cases throughout the entire project lifecycleDesigning conceptual and preliminary thermal control systems designs for new space systems, with the right level of complexity depending on the maturity and goals of the studyProviding technical solutions to optimise thermal management, in collaboration with other subsystems (propulsion, avionics, ECLSS…)Effectively communicating and providing recommendations through analyses, preparation, documentation and presentation of technical dataWhat We Would Love to See from YouQualificationsAdvanced degree (Master of Science or PhD) in aerospace engineering, heat transfer and fluid mechanics, or another related field5+ years of experience working in space project thermal control design and analysesStrong knowledge of thermal managementGood knowledge in thermal analysisExperience with several thermal software (Thermal Desktop, ESATAN) is appreciatedExperience with programming (Python)Fluent in English.
