We are looking for an Aviation Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team and actively contribute to the safety management and compliance of our operations.
Purpose of the Position
In this position, you will support the Compliance Monitoring & Safety Managers in implementing the compliance monitoring program and the Safety Management System (SMS) across our Part‑145, CAMO, DOA, and POA organizations, ensuring adherence to EASA regulations and EN9100 standards. Your mission will be to contribute to the continuous improvement of operational safety in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Compliance Monitoring & Safety Management System: Perform internal audits and inspections according to the compliance monitoring plan.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Support the analysis of compliance evidence regarding EASA regulations (Part‑145, Part‑M/CAMO, Part‑21J/DOA, Part‑21G/POA) and EN9100 standards.
- Non‑Conformance Management (NC): Collaborate in recording, follow‑up, and verification of corrective/preventive actions for non‑conformities.
- Safety: Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS), collecting and analyzing safety reports.
- Information Security: Support the management of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), monitoring cybersecurity reports.
- Reporting: Support the preparation of periodic reports for Management and Competent Authorities.
- Technical Documentation: Collaborate in developing and updating technical documentation and manuals (MOE, CAME, DOH, POE, etc.).
- Training: Participate in organizing training sessions on compliance monitoring and safety culture.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Maintain constant relationships with operational functions (maintenance, CAMO engineering, design, production) to identify and implement improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Practical experience (even brief) in the aviation maintenance field or areas such as CAMO, DOA or POA is preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic knowledge of European regulations (EASA Part‑145, Part‑M, Part‑21J/DOA, Part‑21G/POA, Part‑IS) is a plus.
- Auditing: Basic knowledge of auditing (ISO 9001 or equivalent); training as an EASA auditor is a plus.
- Safety and Risk: Knowledge of safety management principles, risk assessment and human‑factors issues is a plus.
- EN9100 Standards: Familiarity with the EN9100 standard is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Good command of written and spoken technical English and familiarity with audit management, documentation and safety reporting software.
- Analytical Skills: Problem‑solving attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Language Skills: Italian level C1; English level C1.
