Job Description
The Data Scientist AI Engineer will design and build the data and technology foundations needed to enable advanced analytics models and AI solutions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and data quality. They will work closely with AI and business teams to transform data into strategic assets, accelerating the spread of AI-driven and generative solutions across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Support the group strategy by adopting modern data architectures to support AI and Generative AI.
* Design, develop and manage scalable, reliable, and automated data pipelines to feed models and analytical systems.
* Define data strategy and implementation plans for AI initiatives.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve accessibility, quality and governance of the company’s information assets.
* Manage AI, Generative AI and data analytics projects, ensuring efficient integration and orchestration of data flows.
* Work with Agile teams at Digital Factory to enable algorithm development by providing clean, versioned data.
* Coordinate and support external vendors in integration and data platform activities.
* Take an end-to-end approach to AI projects, from data foundation design to continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with MLOps and DataOps best practices, including versioning, monitoring and reproducibility.
* Promote a data-driven culture and use of modern data infrastructures to accelerate AI projects.
Technical Competencies
* At least 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer or MLOps Engineer on complex data-driven or AI-driven projects.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
* Strong knowledge of data transformation technologies, ETL/ELT and data orchestration (e.g., Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Kafka).
* Experience with cloud and enterprise data platforms, preferably Microsoft and Databricks.
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and modern data lakes/data warehouses.
* Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Unity Catalog) and concepts of data versioning, monitoring and CI/CD.
* Proficiency in data manipulation and AI programming languages (Python, PySpark).
* Familiarity with open-source and commercial LLMs and AI Agents for pipeline integration.
* Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
