In this role, you will be working with a team of engineers supporting in simulating thermodynamic models of Vertiv’s HVAC products to support the global Application and Offering teams. /p h3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 ul liDevelop accurate, high-performance mathematical models for HVAC components (evaporators, condensers, compressors, fans, pumps) using physics-based equations. /li liDesign and implement efficient, stable algorithms to simulate single- and multi-circuit HVAC systems, including chilled-water CRAC units, air-cooled water-cooled liquid chiller and liquid cooling configurations. /li liApply advanced numerical methods to solve complex multi-circuit system schemes with high computational efficiency. /li liPrepare technical documentation on thermal modeling and analysis. /li liUtilize primary programming language for modeling tasks like Cadence, FlowNex, MathLAB Simulink, FloMaster, Simscale /li /ul h3What will make you successful? /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on thermodynamics. /li liSolid understanding of single-phase and two-phase fluid dynamics, refrigerant mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics. /li liFamiliarity with numerical methods and iterative approaches for refrigerant circuits and hydronic circuit systems /li liKnowledge of HVAC system operation, component balancing, and system integration. /li li1 or 2+ years of experience in thermal engineering is preferred, but highly motivated new graduates are welcome. /li liProficiency in object-oriented SW above-mentioned programming with strong willingness to learn coding skills on the job. /li liPractical application knowledge of the main CFD simulation software, both one and two-dimensional /li liHighly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive team player. /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and communication tools (MS Teams, Outlook). /li liExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English. /li liItalian fluency (verbal and written) is highly desirable. /li liResidency near Vertiv’s Tognana (Padova) site or willingness to relocate. /li liStrong interest and commitment to developing expertise in thermodynamic / flow-dynamic numerical simulation and modeling. /li /ul pVertiv is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
