About the Company RQT is recruiting on behalf of a well established group within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events industry.\nAbout the Role\nThis is a senior leadership role and is strictly suited to candidates with substantial and proven experience within the MICE sector, gained either within a reputable agency environment or within a structured hospitality group operating in meetings and events. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and CEO and will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the Italy based team, and ensuring operational excellence in line with Group strategy and financial targets.\nResponsibilities\nStrategic Leadership and Business Development\nDevelop and implement the annual business plan, sales strategy, and budget for the Italy office.\nDrive sustainable revenue growth and profitability in line with Group objectives.\nIdentify new market opportunities, client segments, and product development areas.\nMonitor financial performance and implement corrective measures where required.\nProvide structured reporting to Group management on sales, pipeline, and financial performance.\nSales and Client Relationship Management\nLead the sales function to maximise conversion rates, margins, and long term client value.\nManage and strengthen relationships with key corporate clients, agencies, and strategic partners.\nOversee major proposals, tenders, and high value negotiations.\nRepresent the company at international trade fairs, sales missions, and client meetings.\nAccompany key clients on inspections, site visits, and familiarisation programmes when required.\nOperations and Service Delivery\nOversee all operational activities to ensure seamless delivery of conferences, incentive groups, and corporate programmes.\nEnsure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with company quality standards.\nAct as senior escalation point for client or operational issues.\nEnsure structured planning, risk management, and contingency processes are in place.\nNegotiate with key suppliers to secure competitive commercial terms.\nTeam Leadership and Governance\nLead, motivate, and develop the Italy based team to achieve high performance.\nSet clear objectives and conduct performance reviews.\nEnsure compliance with Group standards, policies, and corporate governance requirements.\nMaintain strong internal collaboration across markets.\nQualifications\nThis is a senior role and requires significant relevant experience.\nRequired Skills\nProven and demonstrable experience within the MICE industry is essential.\nExperience gained within a recognised MICE agency or a hospitality group with a strong meetings and events focus is mandatory.\nStrong track record in managing large scale conferences, incentive programmes, and international corporate events.\nDemonstrated commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, margins, and revenue targets.\nProven leadership experience in managing and developing teams.\nStrong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nWillingness to travel and represent the company internationally.\nPreferred Skills\nApplicants must submit details of key projects and portfolios personally managed, including scope, client profile, budget size, and results achieved.
