Production Manager (Publishing & Agency)

ERG Media is a global creative studio and publishing house working across high-end editorial, books, brand storytelling, and cultural projects. We collaborate with leading brands, artists, and institutions, producing work that lives equally well on paper, on screen, and in the real world.
We are looking for a Production Manager to sit at the center of both our publishing arm and agency-side client work, ensuring projects move from idea to execution with clarity, rigor, and calm.
This is a contractor role (Partita IVA) with a hybrid presence in Milan and built-in flexibility.
The Role
You will manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects across print & publishing and agency work, acting as the operational backbone between creative teams, external partners, suppliers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Own end-to-end production timelines across publishing and agency projects
· Translate scopes into clear production plans, milestones, and deliverables
· Manage print production schedules, specs, proofs, revisions, and delivery
· Coordinate designers, editors, printers, and logistics partners
· Oversee agency project delivery alongside creative leads
· Maintain alignment with clients on timelines, approvals, and next steps
· Track budgets, timelines, and resourcing with leadership
· Maintain and improve project management tools and workflows
· Coordinate internal teams and external collaborators with clarity and calm
Profile
· Experience in production or project management within a creative studio, agency, or publishing environment
· Comfortable managing both print/publication and agency-style projects
· Highly organized, structured thinker with strong communication skills
· Calm under pressure, proactive, detail-oriented without being rigid
· Based in or regularly present in Milan
