This role serves as a key point of coordination for day-to-day maintenance operations, staff supervision, and compliance with safety standards. The Chief Engineer acts as second-in-command, stepping in during the Manager’s absence and serving as a reference point for the team of Engineering Supervisors. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliAssist the Engineering Manager in overseeing all operations of the Engineering department /liliSupervise and support Engineering Supervisors and technicians in daily tasks and preventive maintenance plans /liliCoordinate technical interventions across all areas of the resort, ensuring quality and timeliness /liliCollaborate in budget monitoring and cost control, particularly for maintenance operations and energy consumption /liliLiaise with external contractors and consultants during maintenance projects and upgrades /liliMonitor compliance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations, supporting internal audits and corrective actions /liliMaintain up-to-date documentation on systems, procedures, and equipment maintenance /liliLead or assist in training, evaluating, and motivating the engineering team to ensure high performance and professional development /liliImplement MOHG standards and policies across all maintenance activities /liliParticipate in the planning and scheduling of maintenance interventions in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house /liliProvide regular updates to the Engineering Manager on technical issues, resource needs, and ongoing projects /liliContribute to long-term improvement plans for energy saving and sustainable facility management /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliMinimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or mid-level engineering role, ideally within a luxury hospitality setting /liliDegree or diploma in Engineering, Technical Services, or a related field /liliStrong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and civil systems /liliWorking knowledge of Health Safety and Fire Prevention regulations /liliGood understanding of budget control and energy-saving practices /liliExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills /liliProficient in written and spoken English and Italian /liliLeadership-oriented mindset with a collaborative, hands-on approach /liliFlexible, reliable, and capable of managing stress and priorities /li /ulh3Equal Employment Opportunity /h3pWe believe a diverse and inclusive culture is better for everyone.
