As a Flow Planner, you will be part of the Operations team, being responsible for the warehouse goods planning (outbound/inbound) in order to satisfy customers’ needs and requests. She/He will also constantly interact with Operations Manager/Shift Leaders and Automation Controllers with the aim of adapting goods planning to the day-to-day warehouse workflow capacity by keeping always in mind peculiarity of every specific department’s area.
How you create impact
* Planning the sequence of the workload considering customer SLAs, cut off times and process times. Balancing and optimise productivity in order to guarantee an efficient workflow and not creating bottle necks or other discomfort situations.
* Constantly check the scheduled plan to identify potential issues and deviations and take if necessary corrective measures to ensure SLAs and cut off times in close collaboration with Operation and Control room.
* Development and implementation of statistical metrics in order to schedule and draw up warehouse planning forecast in consultation with floor supervisor
* Enforce the communication of the information by using, if requested, specific easy to understand dashboards which guarantee a clear visibility of the past and/or current and/or future goods planning status
* Building of a deep and efficient relation with the shop floor in order to be able to adapt and manipulate warehouse planning by contemplating continuous changes requested by the customer
* Create a direct and true daily interaction with other departments within Kuehne + Nagel, such as customer service & transport planning, in order to develop the most efficient planning strategy and adapt it to the current priorities of the customer
* Identify, promote and improve efficient communication schemes to inform Operation about warehouse goods planning and potential variations in order to set up and adapt frequently the warehouse workflow
What we would like you to bring
* 2 – 5 years of planning experience in large scale (>300FTE) highly automated fulfilment operations with strong preference given to eCommerce / Fashion / Retail field, preferably in multinational companies with matrix organizational structure
* Accumulated wisdom about metrics and data analysis related to goods planning as practice with software’s and/or ERPs
* Exposure to dashboard data representations with the aim of creating easy to understand ways to communicate information to different stakeholders
* Familiarity with fast paced work environments with high level of planning variations and characterized by frequent interactions with customers and/or stakeholders
