Overview
In this role you support the Finance Manager to drive financial performance, ensure timely reporting and compliant close processes, and partner with hotel teams to optimize profitability for owners and shareholders. You will help develop high‑performing hotel finance teams while upholding governance and policy adherence. You’ll lead cross‑functional collaboration, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and drive finance projects that improve efficiency and controls.
Responsibilities
* Support the Finance Manager in driving financial performance and timely, accurate reporting
* Coordinate month‑end close, GAAP, Uniform System of Accounts, and Hilton policies
* Ensure all hotel finance activities comply with policy, regulatory, and contractual frameworks
* Business partner with hotel finance and management teams and key stakeholders
* Provide training, succession planning, and development for the finance team in the manager’s absence
* Reconcile and check accounts around month‑end; manage cash flow efficiently
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cash management
* Lead or participate in finance projects; apply lease/management agreement considerations
* Maintain fixed cost register; review corporate charges and Hilton fees
* Oversee capital expenditure process, invoice payments, payroll approvals, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare month‑end journal entries and payroll documentation; support internal/external audits
* Chair monthly credit meetings; review aged debt and credit card chargebacks
* Communicate financial results with executives and hotel teams; support performance optimization
* Ensure legal compliance with corporate policies and safety regulations
Requirements
* Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information and produce reports, forecasts, and projections
* Strong problem‑solving and proactive issue‑prevention skills
* Ability to develop others and manage staff in a finance environment
* Initiative to identify and implement required responsibilities for the team
* Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to present to all organizational levels
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal/external stakeholders
* Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; quick learner for new programs
* University degree in Accounting or Finance (as stated)
