Description
Responsible for preparing quotations, developing and supporting customized solutions for customers whose requirements cannot be met with standard products. Managing the life cycle of assigned products, providing technical and commercial support for both internal and external customers. Assists with research, new product development and maintain customer relationships. Acts as a technical liaison to sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with sales representatives and distributors to size products for specific applications, provide product specifications, and develop custom quotations.
- Works with internal and external customers to ensure that products work properly after installation/implementation. Assists internal customers with product information and external customers with application and pricing information.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product applications.
- Ensure that promotional programs and tradeshows have the best collateral to sell the product.
- Attends industry tradeshows.
- Supports Management with product-pricing strategies, including special promotions.
- Recommend improvements and additions to the existing product line.
- Assists product launch with marketing materials and information, including brochures, catalogues, instruction manuals and spare part lists.
- Ensure marketing material and all current product documentation is updated
- Provide product training for sales, service & marketing staff.
- Review customer complaints to ensure that issues are promptly resolved for the respective products
- Collaborates with engineering, product supply, sales, and other departments to meet customers’ needs.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Any other language would be an advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in this field or a similar one.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology or similar qualification in a related field
- Experience with speed-controlled pumping systems and VFDs would be an advantage
- Available for business travel up to 20% of the time
