Ph3Overview /h3pThe Chief Engineer is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing and actively participating in all aspects of hotel maintenance and repairs. This role ensures the safety, efficiency, and aesthetic appeal of the property, providing a seamless experience for guests and staff. /ppReports To: Hotel Manager /ph3Functions /h3ulliLead and actively participate in the service, maintenance, and repairs of all hotel equipment and systems, including: /liliulliElectrical systems: wiring, lighting, power distribution, and emergency power. /liliPlumbing: fixtures, piping, water heaters, and drainage. /liliGas systems: appliances and lines. /liliFire Life Safety systems: alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and egress routes. /liliHVAC: heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, including preventative maintenance. /liliRefrigeration: walk-in coolers, freezers, and other refrigeration equipment. /liliSteam systems: boilers and steam lines. /liliAudio-Visual (AV) systems: sound, projection, and conferencing equipment. /liliLandscaping: irrigation, outdoor lighting, and general grounds maintenance. /liliInterior maintenance: drywall, flooring, and general repairs. /liliPaint and Decorating: ensuring high standards of finish and appearance throughout the property. /li /ul /liliRespond promptly and efficiently to all maintenance inquiries and problems, providing courteous and professional service to achieve maximum guest and team satisfaction. /liliEnsure strict compliance with all local, national, and safety standards, laws, rules, and regulations across all maintenance operations. /liliDevelop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive repair and preventative maintenance program for all building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize unplanned downtime. /liliConduct regular inspections of all hotel areas to identify maintenance needs and proactively address potential issues. /liliCoordinate all activities with external contractors and vendors related to construction, renovation, or major maintenance projects. Serve as the primary liaison between the hotel management team and construction companies, ensuring effective communication, timely project updates, and smooth execution of work with minimal disruption to hotel operations. /liliTrain and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. /liliManage inventory of parts, supplies, and tools, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control. /liliAble to maintain a daily logbook of work done during the shift. /liliAble to maintain and update a register and log file of main certificates, maintenance schedules, tests, reports, etc. /liliAssist team with energy conservation and sustainable programs in the Hotel. /liliPerform any other job assigned by the management as and when required. /li /ulh3Skills and Abilities /h3ulliRequires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance /liliWorking knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications. /liliRequires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment and maintenance management software. /liliExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. /liliEffective communication skills to collaborate across departments, vendors, and contractors. /li /ulh3Education Experiences /h3ulliFrom three to five years of experience in the related positions or similar, hotel environment would be a plus /liliUniversity Degree or school background in technical field (electrical, mechanical, etc) is desirable /li /ulpFluency in Italian and a good command of English are required /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
