Location: Pero, Milan, Italy

Contract type: full-time, permanent contract

About the role

The Project Engineer – Service & Aftermarket ensures the technical and operational management of service, retrofit, and after-sales projects, guaranteeing operational continuity, service quality, and customer satisfaction, in compliance with timelines, costs, and company standards. The role involves the technical management of service and aftermarket projects, from receiving the customer request through to the completion of the intervention.
This role coordinates planning, execution, and control activities, acting as the technical point of reference between the customer, internal teams, suppliers, and field service personnel.
The project engineer ensures that the proposed and implemented technical solutions comply with project specifications, applicable regulations, and company quality and safety standards.


Your main responsibilities will be:

* Analyzing service and aftermarket requests, assessing technical feasibility, operational impacts, and costs.
* Defining the scope of work, planning and scheduling activities, supporting the estimation of timelines and resources.
* Coordinating technical activities with workshop, field service, supply chain, and external suppliers.
* Supervising the execution of interventions, monitoring progress, issues, and deviations.
* Supporting the customer during operational phases, ensuring clear and timely communication.
* Managing technical and project documentation, including progress reports and final cost reports.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of service and aftermarket processes.

To be successful in this role you will need:

* At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience with technical projects, preferably from an industrial company
* Fluent Italian and English language knowledge, both written and spoken (the role includes frequent communication with international customers)
* Strong MS Office skills, good AutoCAD/other design program knowledge
* Project management & coordination capability, problem-solving skills and an ability to work cross-functionally
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented attitude

Not necessary, but would be a plus:

* Education in a technical field, preferably an Engineering degree
* Previous experience from the Oil and Gas field
* Previous experience from the fire suppression industry
