Service Engineer – Earthmoving Equipment
Job SummaryThe Service Engineer is responsible for providing professional technical support for earthmoving equipment across the assigned region. Acting as the key technical interface between the company, dealers, and end customers, this role focuses on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, dealer technical capability development, and ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical Service & TroubleshootingPerform commissioning, inspection, maintenance, and repair of earthmoving equipment (excavators, wheel loaders, etc.)Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures using systematic troubleshooting methodsProvide on-site technical support for complex or critical equipment issuesPrepare detailed service reports and technical documentation2. Dealer Technical Support & Capability DevelopmentProvide technical guidance and on-site support to dealers' service teamsConduct regular assessments of dealer service capabilities and identify gapsSupport dealer technicians in improving diagnostic and repair efficiencyAssist in building dealer service standards, tools, and processes3. Service Process & Warranty SupportSupport dealers in proper execution of service and warranty processesReview warranty cases for technical accuracy and completenessEnsure compliance with company service policies and proceduresMonitor key service KPIs such as response time and repair efficiency4. Spare Parts & Maintenance SupportIdentify spare parts requirements during service activitiesSupport parts availability by coordinating with warehouse and parts teamsAssist dealers in improving parts usage and maintenance planning5. Product Feedback & Continuous ImprovementCollect and report product quality issues from the fieldSupport implementation of technical bulletins and product modificationsProvide feedback to HQ/R&D to improve product reliability and serviceability6. Customer Support & SatisfactionSupport dealers in handling critical customer issuesEnsure timely resolution of breakdowns and technical problemsContribute to improving customer satisfaction and service experience
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related fieldsMinimum 3 years of experience in after-sales service of construction machinery / heavy equipment / trucksHands-on experience with earthmoving equipment is highly preferredSolid knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systemsStrong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis capabilityAbility to read technical drawings and service manualsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsCustomer-oriented mindset with good communication skillsAbility to work independently in field conditionsFluent English (working language)Local language required
