Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide essential healthcare services within a federal correctional setting. Why You’ll Love This Role: - Competitive compensation - Generous PTO & Sick Time Off (STO) - Health Benefit - Paid Federal Holidays - Consistent full-time schedule Key Responsibilities: - Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare to inmates - Conduct examinations, take medical histories, and order/interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies - Diagnose conditions, create treatment plans, and prescribe medications - Manage injuries (suturing, splinting, immobilizing) and respond to medical emergencies - Perform minor surgical procedures using local anesthesia - Document progress notes and coordinate outside consultations when clinically required - Collaborate with staff and consulting physicians to evaluate and improve care programs - Identify early signs of physical, mental, or emotional health issues - Oversee daily clinic operations, conduct sick calls, and perform assessments - Provide emergency services in the absence of the physician Qualifications: - Active license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in any U.S. state - Must hold AANP certification - One Year experience as a Nurse Practitioner. - Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross JOB-8807 Valerie Kramer ALLIND One Stop Recruiting is an equal opportunity employer.
