Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Italy, Chile, Croatia, Ecuador, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Peru, Seychelles, Spain, Taiwan, Uruguay for Freelance Auditors specializing in Friend of the Sea and Dolphin Safe fisheries and aquaculture audits. The role involves conducting third-party audits, preparing comprehensive audit reports, and ensuring compliance with Friend of the Sea and /or Dolphin Safe standards. Additionally, the auditor will collaborate with clients to oversee the implementation of corrective actions and provide continuous support where needed.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of fisheries and aquaculture practices, and sustainability standards
* Proficiency in auditing processes, report preparation, and compliance checking
* Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail skills
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
* Familiarity with certification processes for environmental programs like Friend of the Sea and Dolphin Safe
* Availability for on-site audits and willingness to travel when required
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or similar)
* Professional certification or experience in auditing and compliance is a plus
