The internship in Purchasing is focused on a project to create, set up and implement a series of tools to analyse and support the management by buyers of the commodities with the greatest impact on the group.
In particular, the aim of the project will be to create and standardise - on the basis of the geographical origin and type of each supplier - a number of tools aimed at regularising agreements on indexing raw materials, electricity/gas, and currency exchange (for non-EU suppliers), as well as standardising an approach methodology towards suppliers with regard to the recovery of costs arising from quality or delivery problems.
The candidate, based on the indications that will be provided by the buyers responsible for each product category, will:
* Analyse the current supplier base with ABC analysis by turnover / country / commodity
* Group and subdivide suppliers on the basis of materials used, technologies and commodity categories
* Collect and summarise the indexations in place to date, evaluating the logic behind each agreement and reasoning together with the buyer on optimisation possibilities
* Analyse trends relating to the raw materials identified, as well as energy costs for each country of reference, and the €/USD - €/INR - €/CNY exchange rate
* Analyse the costs generated by supply problems and delivery delays from each supplier, and produce a document to standardise methodology and recovery strategies
* Define and set up a tool that makes clear the guidelines to be implemented for the introduction of each indexing rule
* Support the buyer in the correct implementation of the tools created.
The above-mentioned activities will enable the resource to acquire important skills in the supply chain with particular focus on the purchasing logic and on interactions with the main company functions involved in the procurement process.
Obviously, all the necessary support will be provided for learning company tools (SAP and Microsof Office first).
