Experteer Overview In this role you will develop and maintain safety-related software libraries that enable Datalogic industrial devices to support functional safety features. You will drive integration of key safety protocols across devices and platforms, collaborating with R&D; and product teams to enable certification and product readiness. You will also contribute to validation and pre-certification testing, while exploring new technologies for future products. This position offers impact on safety-critical connectivity and a path to professional growth through continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain safety-protocol software libraries for functional safety in industrial devices
- Facilitate adoption of libraries across new devices under development
- Implement new functionalities and support library integration and product certification
- Maintain libraries by fixing defects and upgrading protocols, supporting recertification
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC applications for validation and pre-certification tests
- Adhere to Software Quality Assurance principles and best practices
- Research technologies that offer competitive advantages for future products
- Attend technical and soft-skill training for continuous learning
Qualifications / Requisiti
- Master’s Degree in Computer, Electronic or Automation Engineering
- More than three years of hands-on embedded software engineering experience
- Proficiency in object-oriented design and C/C++ programming
- Experience with multi-threaded programming
- Experience with Linux or real-time operating systems and embedded software design
- Knowledge of Software QA principles and best practices
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and analysis tools like Wireshark
- Hands-on PLC programming experience with CoDeSys (Ladder, Structured Text, or similar)
