We are seeking a qualified Fortran Developer / Scientific Software Engineer to support the development, validation, and maintenance of engineering calculation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, and test Fortran-based calculation models in accordance with physical laws and engineering specifications
- Translate technical inputs from NPI and RQS design engineers into structured computational logic
- Perform validation and verification of calculation results to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintain and optimize existing legacy codebases, improving performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and technical improvements
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and results to ensure traceability and reproducibility
- Support integration and interoperability with tools developed in C++ and VBA
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience in Fortran programming
- Good knowledge of C++ and/or VBA
- Solid understanding of:
- Numerical methods
- Scientific computing
- Physics-based modeling
- Experience in code testing, validation, and debugging of engineering calculations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial sectors such as:
- Aerospace
- Automotive
- Energy
- Industrial engineering
- Familiarity with simulation environments (e.G., FEM, CFD)
- Experience working with legacy systems and code refactoring
- Knowledge of software validation and verification processes
