For our own projects, we are looking for: Piping/Mechanical Supervisor.
MISSION:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all mechanical activities related to pre-fabrication and piping works within Oil & Gas projects. This includes ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety procedures, and schedules during the construction phase.
TASKS:
* Supervise day-to-day activities related to mechanical and piping fabrication, installation, and testing.
* Ensure that work is carried out as per project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes/standards (e.g., ASME, API).
* Monitor progress and productivity of subcontractors and internal crews, ensuring timelines and quality benchmarks are met.
* Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, planning, and procurement teams to resolve technical and logistical issues.
* Conduct and participate in daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and method statement reviews.
* Ensure availability and correct usage of tools, materials, and manpower in assigned areas.
* Review fabrication shop drawings and isometric piping drawings before execution.
* Prepare and submit daily progress reports, highlighting any delays or non-conformities.
* Support pre-commissioning and hydro-testing activities for mechanical systems and piping.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
* 10+ years of experience in mechanical supervision, with a focus on pre-fabrication and piping in the Oil & Gas industry.
* Proven experience with EPC contractors or major Oil & Gas operators.
* In-depth knowledge of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and piping systems.
* Familiarity with welding procedures, NDT processes, and material handling in fabrication yards.
* Strong understanding of health and safety standards in oil & gas environments (e.g., PTW systems).
* Fluent level of Italian, written and spoken.
OTHER DETAILS:
* Job Location: Taranto, Italy (10 months) + Livorno, Italy (2 months).
* Contract Duration: 1 year.
* Starting date: July 2025.
