We are now looking for a Service Engineer E&A to join our Electrical & Automation Fields Services Resources team, to improve its after-sales assistance staff.
The position is located in Naples, Italy .
Your role and responsibilities
As a Service Engineer E&A your work will include the following tasks :
* Carry out complex field service activities in electrical and automation related to Wartsila'sproducts, including their commissioning, trial tests, adjustments, repair, and maintenance.
* Perform advanced troubleshooting on site to isolate and find root causes of failures inelectrical and automation equipment.
* Lead and manage assigned self / team while on site, interacting with the customer toarrange for proper schedule to achieve desired scope.
* Be able to assure prompt feedback to work Coordination and Resources departments.
* Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety andEnvironmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
* Inspect completed work to ensure that repairs have been finalized correctly and thatmachinery and equipment are compliant to specifications and safety standards.
* Proactively advice and promote available products and solutions to customers. Performsite audits, supporting our sales departments too.
* Keep track of work details and provide deepen reports, including all the necessary details(measurements, photos, way of working, investigations, etc.).
* Perform internal and external progress reporting on the status of assigned work. Keeptrack and provide the accounting of time, together with the spare parts to be used.
* Prepare technical and travel reports on time, with the collections of the expecteddocumentation according to Wartsila quality. To be written in English.
* Ready to travel on short notice. Away from home more than 80% of the working time.
* The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of a team with diverse expertise .
Requirements for the position
* Electrical and automation technical knowledge, communication nets and interfaces, sensors, actuators, auxiliary equipment.
* Good read and written English.
* Ability to travel, to work abroad and on board of sailing vessels.
* Ready to travel around 70% of the time.
* Motivated to learn in classroom / field trainings and quickly grow professionally.
* Ability to work in a team, follow directives and deal with people of different nationalities and cultures.
As an ideal candidate you might also have…
* Technical high school diploma in electrics, electronics, automation.
* Previous experiences in similar roles or sailing while working in vessel’s engine rooms.
* PLC programming, SCADA systems knowledge.
