As a CFD Specialist in our System Engineering team, you will be given the chance to work in an open-minded, international environment and to collaborate with experts from all over the world. You will be responsible for coordinating and performing thermodynamic and CFD simulations, fluid-dynamic test and for promoting the integration of multi-physic approach. You will contribute to the development of our Technology Roadmap, to ensure the availability of assets, tools and competences necessary to deliver the appliances of the future, in observance of projects cost and timing. You will be based in Electrolux Food Preservation Consumer Experience office in Susegana (TV) only 1 hour distance from Venice. Here you will work together with nearly 1400 colleagues from different functions, and various nationalities, with the common goal to create the refrigeration of the future. Responsibilities: - Execute 1D thermodynamic simulation and MiL according to the project plan and create relevant documentation - Execute CFD simulations according to the project plan and create relevant documentation - Coordinate external consultants for numerical end experimental activities - Execute performance and fluid dynamic testing, following Electrolux internal standards - Identify key operation activities for every project in term of simulation and calibration test necessary - Implement DOE, optimization and statistical analysis tools - Develop test manuals, simulation manuals, design guidelines and best practices for both experimental and numerical activities - Closely interact with all R&D functions to ensure a seamless delivery of projects Other responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership in the development of aeraulic modules - Contribute to the creation of Technology and Investment Roadmap for fluid dynamic simulation and test - Support the creation, validation and use of simulation models and related experimental activities - Define specifications for components and parts in prototype creation and testing execution - Minimize trial and error activities and costs, and improve the right first time result in prototype generation Qualifications: - Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) - Minimum 3 years’ experience in fluid-dynamic and thermal simulation - Excellent knowledge of CFD tools (STAR-CCM preferred) - Good knowledge in the use of 3D CAD modeling software (CATIA is preferable) - Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink - Good knowledge of laboratory experimental analysis in thermodynamics - cooling circuits characterization - Proven experience in managing complex tasks and coordinating technical developments - Structured engineering approach with an integrated multi-physics view - Deep background on thermo-fluid dynamic, heat and mass transfer - Basic knowledge on statistical tools (DOE) - Fluent English This is what an Electrolux employee says: “At Electrolux, we take responsibility for our development in a supportive environment where we embrace our differences and learn from each other.
