About The Job
We are seeking a Reliability Functional Test Engineer for BEV at our headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting to the Head of Verification & Validation Testing. You will oversee vehicle functional testing for new projects within your assigned vehicle family.
* Develop functional testing procedures aligned with project plans and milestones.
* Train testing drivers and passengers, including providers.
* Manage dataloggers used in validation activities: planning, budgeting, supplier interface, configuration, maintenance.
* Plan and define charging stations and related analysis interfaces.
* Determine and organize tools such as phones, SIMs, cameras.
* Coordinate activation of connected services.
* Configure dataloggers with testing stations and R&D teams, troubleshoot issues.
* Collect and prioritize findings, perform initial log analysis, manage complaints.
* Prepare test reports, including testing matrices and summaries.
* Participate in software meetings, serve as department contact for software development and status updates.
* Verify prototypes and early software, perform flashing and analysis.
* Assist in writing and reviewing flashing instructions.
About You
* Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Aerospace Engineering.
* Master’s in Vehicle Engineering is a plus.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive roles, group experience preferred.
* Strong automotive technical knowledge, especially in vehicle dynamics testing.
* Problem-solving skills in vehicle dynamics, electronics, and software issues.
* Experience collaborating across departments.
* Ability to coordinate vehicle-level analysis and corrective actions.
* Logistics planning skills.
* Proficiency with Office suite, Teams; familiarity with VW group tools and diagnosis systems is a plus.
* Fluent in English; German is a plus.
* Strong planning, analysis, communication skills.
* Proactive, flexible, self-motivated, confident, team-oriented.
* Willingness to travel worldwide.
