AWS has an immediate opening in Singapore for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Data Center Finance team in Asia‑Pacific. In this role you will partner with regional AWS leadership across APJC to drive financial controllership of AWS Data Center Operations, serving as the subject matter expert for utilities operations cost management and leading initiatives to optimize financial performance. On the AWS Finance team, you will be surrounded by people that are exceptionally talented, bright, and driven, and believe that world class support is critical to customer success. The Data Center Finance team is part of the Asia‑Pacific Infrastructure team. We provide end‑to‑end financial support driving AWS to be the low‑cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in designing, building, operating and innovating our Cloud data centers. We support operations, business development, and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers.
Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide support and financial recommendations.
Drive utilities operations cost management and financial performance optimization for AWS Data Center Operations across APJC.
Work across teams on cost savings projects, automation and improvement initiatives with finance, construction, IT and design.
Conduct regular face‑to‑face and virtual meetings in the Asia‑Pacific region to support business partners and drive further efficiencies.
Manage the financial planning and analysis effort and forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities.
Report on the financial performance and lead in the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reviews.
Develop ad‑hoc business analysis and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls to support the fast-growing, global AWS business.
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
~4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
~ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or MBA and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
~ Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
