The POWER ARCHITECT is a key role within the Application Engineering Team and the Strategic Accounts Sales Team, serving as the leader for power train solutions. This includes medium and low voltage switchgear, UPS, STS / PDU, RPP / Busway, and high-density applications. The role also supports traditional and grid support solutions.

The individual will influence the design of solutions for assigned accounts and contribute to growing market share and win rates within the segment. This position is integral to the EMEA Power Engineering team and the EMEA Strategic Accounts organization, with accountability for the complete Power portfolio order targets for the assigned accounts.

He/She will lead a team across all disciplines, accountable for technical support and commercial strategies on Power products. The role involves collaboration with Key Account Directors and Application Engineers to meet customer needs through a balanced approach to relationship management and technical support.

The candidate should possess strong technical sales experience, a proven industry track record, and an extensive network with top clients in EMEA. A strong link to global product and engineering functions is essential.

Additionally, the role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent internal and external networking skills, and the ability to coordinate across business units to meet customer requirements. Technical competence to demonstrate Vertiv’s full offerings is vital, especially at senior management levels. Targets will align with market growth and strategic positioning.

Strategic Account sales are a crucial revenue stream for Vertiv, and we seek a highly competent, energetic, and ambitious individual for this role.

Role Statement:

* Provide technical support and training to strategic customers and sales teams for Power products and solutions.
* Support sales in pre-sales activities, proposals, quotes, and tenders.
* Offer technical expertise for projects with strategic customers in collaboration with sales and technical teams.
* Develop technical and cost-competitive applications for Power products to meet customer needs where standard solutions do not suffice.
* Organize and host events and workshops to demonstrate Vertiv products and technologies to varied technical audiences.
* Work closely with consultants to understand their requirements and develop effective solutions to influence RFQ processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support and training for AC Power products and solutions.
* Support sales with pre-sales technical input for proposals and tenders.
* Collaborate with sales and engineering teams on project execution.
* Develop innovative applications for AC Power products in collaboration with technical teams.
* Host product demonstrations and technical events.
* Manage assigned projects, including FAT support.
* Work with consultants to develop effective solutions, especially for Colo and hyperscale accounts.
* Be an expert in:
* Switchgear, Large Power Converters, STS / PDU, RPP / Busway, High Density Applications, Grid Applications, Sustainability.

Goals:

* Drive growth in Power sales and profitability for products and services.
* Establish Vertiv as the preferred partner for Power solutions in key accounts.
* Build relationships with top EMEA clients and consultants.
* Ensure a healthy pipeline across all sales stages.
* Coordinate with sales directors and teams on bids and project positioning.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Engineering background or equivalent with proven field experience.
* Extensive experience in AC Power product selection, installation, and management, especially in data centers or similar segments.
* Willingness to travel approximately 30%.

Core Competencies:

* Customer-focused with practical experience in AC power train products.
* Experience in quoting, proposing, installing, and managing projects.
* Disciplined, proactive, and goal-oriented.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of working independently and in teams.
* Proficient with C1, Oracle Sales Cloud, AutoCAD, and familiar with BIM and industry standards.
