AMEX is seeking an HR Intern in our Rome office. We are searching for a student interested in managing employee relations, union relations and handling labor law‑related matters (employment relationship, policy updates, disciplinary cases, etc.), who would like to work alongside our HR Team. This is a paid internship opportunity that will provide the intern with an excellent, hands‑on introduction to a thriving, high‑growth, entrepreneurial environment.
The intern will also support the Colleague & Labor Relations (CLR) team in delivering our core and strategic goals (e.g., case management, reengineering, data integrity and social partner relationships, performance management), ensuring all labor matters are addressed promptly and managed, and providing the best support to our people leaders and colleagues. This can include addressing performance cases, disciplinary infractions, data analysis from a wide range of HR systems to influence local business decisions in labor‑related matters.
Responsibilities
Support the CLR team in daily case‑management tasks
Maintain effective and productive contacts with our social partners
Review and update Amex internal policies based on Italian labor regulation
Support cross‑HR initiatives, projects and daily activities
Analyze relevant workforce‑related data to foster the implementation of data‑driven CLR initiatives
Receive training on useful tools and resources that will help grow professionally and personally
Qualifications
Students holding at least a Bachelor’s degree and/or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree or postgraduate program
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Fluent Italian and English speaker, both written and oral
Proficiency with Office tools (including Excel and PowerPoint)
Good communication skills
Strong teamwork and collaboration attitude
Strong motivation to prove oneself in a complex multinational organization
Curiosity and an attitude to think outside the box

Duration: 6 months internship + potential 6 months renewal
Hours: 39 hours per week
