We are looking for a Front‐End Developer to build and maintain complex web applications across both modern and legacy systems. This role involves working with technologies such as React, jQuery, Underscore, and other established frameworks, alongside newer tools. You will focus on engineering quality, performance, stability, and integration with backend services, while helping to modernise existing platforms in a controlled and reliable way.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain complex front‐end applications using a mix of modern and legacy technologies, including React, jQuery, Underscore, Bootstrap and other frameworks.
Create reusable components, shared libraries, and effective state‐management solutions where appropriate.
Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and cross‐browser compatibility.
Integrate front‐end systems with backend APIs and follow best practices for API use.
Carry out code reviews, promote coding standards, and support good development practices across the team.
Identify architectural gaps, suggest technical improvements, and support technical decisions.
Work closely with product and backend teams to ensure smooth and reliable delivery.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects, system issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Ensure compliance with BRIGHTSTAR security, quality, and CI/CD guidelines.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior and mid‐level developers.
Skills & Experience
Strong front‐end development experience across both modern and legacy frameworks.
Solid knowledge of JavaScript and libraries such as jQuery and Underscore.
Experience with modern frameworks such as React alongside older systems.
Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and LESS.
Able to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong understanding of development workflows, Agile delivery, and GitHub version control.
Experience integrating with backend APIs.
Familiarity with Jira is beneficial.
Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
