The Role
We are looking for a Data Technician to join our Data Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and updating automotive manufacturer spare parts data within Solera databases, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company quality standards.
What You'll Do
Collect, process, and upload Automotive Manufacturer spare parts data into Solera databases for vehicle repair purposes (cars and LCVs).
Code vehicle parts according to model and version, including part numbers, criteria, and price lists.
Code aftermarket parts related to original equipment.
Prepare technical vehicle notes for internal and external documentation.
Deliver accurate and high-quality datasets according to agreed timelines.
Improve data quality in line with company objectives.
Collaborate closely with the Data Development Team.
Resolve incidents related to database content.
Manage technical spare parts data, monitor manufacturer updates, and ensure information remains up-to-date.
What You'll Bring
Vocational training or equivalent in automotive data or a related field.
Strong skills in Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Intermediate level of English .
Education: Technical secondary school diploma (technological) or higher. (Diploma Tecnico settore Tecnologico o Laurea ambito tecnico)
Nice to Have
Experience with advanced MS Access queries or SQL Server query builder and importing/exporting data.
Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, formulas and data analysis.
Experience in the automotive industry, such as workshops, spare parts distribution, damage assessment, aftermarket manufacturing, or automotive data companies.
Familiarity with EPCs (Electronic Parts Catalogs), price lists, and technical manuals.
