Application engineer

As an Application Engineer, you will deliver presales technical support to sales across Vertiv’s lines of business, shaping tailored solutions for customer requirements. You will collaborate with Sales and Engineering to develop competitive proposals and configure-to-order options where standard products don’t fit. This role sits within a large, career-focused Applications Engineering team, offering growth across products, segments, and regions. You’ll influence customer outcomes by translating technical capabilities into compelling, deliverable applications and maintaining ethical standards.

• Provide presales technical support by reviewing RFx and identifying customer requirements;
  coordinate with factoryengineering for technical requests
• Evaluate non-standard requests and propose simpler customizable Configure to Order options
• Manage relationships among Sales, Engineering, and other stakeholders within Vertiv
• Create product and application presentations for customers and consultants
• Ensure activity and responsibilities comply with the Company Code of Conduct and Trade Compliance

• Solid technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Engineering curiosity and results-oriented mindset
• Knowledge of the assigned segment and industry in EMEA
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Offering, Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Product Marketing
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English and local language;
  ideally a second European language
• Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint);
  CAD proficiency is an advantage
• Experience with products and installation, especially for Datacentre or equivalent
