About the School
The Keynes Institute is a Cambridge International School delivering the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme within the framework of the Italian paritaria system.
All Cambridge subjects are taught in English and aligned with British curriculum standards. This is not an ESL or conversational English teaching role.
The Role
We are seeking a qualified Lower Secondary Teacher with a Secondary PGCE and QTS who is confident teaching multiple Cambridge subjects .
This role is designed for an adaptable and versatile teacher able to deliver a broad curriculum rather than highly specialised subject instruction.
The teacher works in close collaboration and co-teaching arrangements with Italian colleagues and reports directly to the Academic Coordinator.
The teacher will also work with Year 1 Class, one hour a day.
Subjects Taught
Wellbeing, Global Perspectives, Art and Design, Science, Physical Education, Music, Mathematics, English, English as a Second Language, Digital Literacy, Computing, Humanities.
Teaching Load
16 weekly teaching hours per class
2 classes
Total: 32 weekly teaching hours
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
PGCE Secondary (Postgraduate Certificate in Education – Secondary) with QTS (qualified teacher status)
Strong pedagogical training and flexibility across disciplines
Ability to teach a broad curriculum confidently
Experience or readiness to work within the Cambridge International framework
Willingness to relocate to Italy
Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of empathy, particularly in working with adolescents and within a collaborative school environment
Experience with EAL and SEN pupils
High level of precision and reliability in completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines, with clear and timely reporting to the Academic Coordinator
Strong interest in international collaboration and intercultural professional exchange
Desirable Requirements
Previous experience in Cambridge International Schools or the UK secondary system

Professional Development and Planning
In March 2026, the successful candidate will complete Cambridge syllabus-specific online training, fully funded by the school.
In June 2026, the teacher will take part in in-depth curriculum alignment and planning with Italian colleagues under academic supervision.
Contract and Benefits
