Likely technical challenges you will be facing in your first year at Moneyfarm will be related to adapting the architecture of our systems with strong customer growth in mind. /p pOver time you will become the go‑to person within the team for backend development. You also take initiative to learn/research new technologies and deliver code of great quality, keeping technical debt under control. /p pA successful candidate in this role will be pragmatic, collaborative, value simplicity and effectiveness, and be biased for action. We are looking for people who want to make an impact in whatever they can, contributing their ideas to how we can improve our product, our technology and the way we work. /p pThings we value are: an Agile approach to product development, using short iteration cycles, and frequent releases to customers; and a Product engineering Mindset. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liBuild an understanding of the Moneyfarm architecture as a whole, develop in alignment with it and contribute to plans for improvement. /li liProduce code of great quality with the right degree of test coverage. /li liReview code constructively, and work with your colleagues to continuously improve the way we work. /li liKeep abreast of technological developments in the industry and their relevance to the company. /li liShare your knowledge and apply it to improve the Moneyfarm systems and the lives of your colleagues. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liYou have at least 5 years of commercial experience in software engineering, a BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science or higher degree non‑essential, but nice to have. /li liScala commercial experience is highly preferred, but not essential provided you have strong transferable skills, e.g. Java 8+, Kotlin, etc. /li liTypescript experience is a nice to have. /li liExperience working with microservices architectures, event streaming systems and cloud providers is also preferred. Kafka, Kubernetes and AWS knowledge is a plus. /li liA good understanding of agile methodologies (particularly Kanban/Lean), their principles and their ceremonies. /li liUsed to working with Git and performing code reviews. /li liFamiliar with CI/CD concepts and tools like Gitlab CI. /li liFocused on testing and extraordinary attention to details. /li liPrevious exposure to fintech or wealth management industry is a must. /li liAble to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken), Italian is a nice to have. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
