Ph3Site Environmental Manager, Amazon Air (Klal, Lakeland, Florida), Environmental Assurance And P /h3pOverview /ppThe Site Environmental Manager (SEM) will be responsible for environmental compliance at the KLAL Lakeland, FL Facility. The SEM will develop standards and policies to support regulatory compliance and provide environmental compliance guidance for operations and construction teams. The individual will complete environmental performance analysis, establish and monitor metrics, and guide the teams in implementation of Amazon environmental standards. The SEM will work with internal and external partners that include government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders. The Site Environmental Manager uses communication, environmental regulatory knowledge and program management experience to lead teams in complex and technical projects. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliManage and oversee compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy. /liliDevelop strategic programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations. Drive environmentally responsible culture within the organization. /liliFunction as a leader regarding regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction. /liliEnsure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards. /liliDevelop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance. /liliConduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement. /liliPrioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently. /liliRepresent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company. /liliBuild collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately. /liliSubmit time-critical reports to various governmental agencies. /liliComplete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective actions. /li /ulh3Eligibility Requirements /h3ulliMust fulfill FAA and DHS criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable. /liliMust be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable. /liliThis position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing.
