As a Retail Auditor, you will help strengthen the integrity and performance of our Italian operations by conducting risk‑focused operational, financial, and compliance audits. You will assess adherence to corporate standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across our retail and hospitality network.
In this role, you'll apply strong analytical thinking and professional curiosity to evaluate systems and processes, identify areas of opportunity, and provide clear, actionable recommendations. You will contribute directly to safeguarding company assets and enhancing operational excellence within a complex, global organisation.

Responsibilities
* Conduct audits across retail and hospitality locations in Italy.
* Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls in line with corporate audit methodologies and regulatory requirements.
* Perform risk assessments to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and areas of exposure.
* Validate compliance with Italian legislation, including labour regulations, health and safety standards, and industry‑specific requirements.
* Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, root causes, and recommended corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate and complete audit documentation in accordance with corporate standards.
* Monitor and track remediation activities to ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
* Present audit results to local and regional leadership when required.
* Provide guidance and training on compliance expectations and best practices.
* Support regional and global audit initiatives, including process harmonisation and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
* Technical/scientific degree (e.g., Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Public Health) paired with recognised audit and/or safety certifications.
* Two years of experience minimum in internal audit, external audit, compliance, or operational roles within retail, hospitality, FMCG, or similar industries.
* Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and audit methodologies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with audit management systems is an advantage.
* Knowledge of Italian regulatory requirements applicable to retail and hospitality operations.
* Strong analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across organisational levels.
* High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
