An exciting opportunity for a
Mechanical Project Engineer
to join a growing team delivering large-scale and technically complex construction projects across Europe.
This role focuses on supporting the successful coordination, installation, and delivery of mechanical systems within major mission-critical projects.
Scope of Work
Coordinate mechanical engineering activities across the project lifecycle
Review and manage design documents, technical specifications, and drawings
Support project handover and coordination meetings
Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Prepare and review coordinated drawings across multiple disciplines
Raise and track RFIs, purchase orders, equipment deliveries, and receipts
Monitor project progress, variations, take-offs, and commercial impacts
Liaise with designers, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical and commercial issues
Prepare method statements and risk assessments
Coordinate subcontractor activities and installation sequencing
Carry out inspections, snagging, P&ID;, and layout walkdowns
Populate and manage testing and commissioning documentation
Maintain accurate project documentation and document control systems
Ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and information management requirements
Requirements
Previous experience within mechanical project engineering on construction projects
Strong understanding of design coordination, procurement, and installation processes
Experience working on large-scale data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageous
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing subcontractors and supporting project delivery on-site
Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and QA/QC processes preferred
