Business and Operations Assistant
St George’s British International School is seeking a proactive, organised and personable, Business and Operations Assistant to join our welcoming administrative team.
Responsibilities
* Business and operations
* Support the Business and Finance Manager in managing the external suppliers
* Helps assuring the contractual terms are respected and monitor the quality of the services delivered
* Liaise with the school staff and the company for all the requests and special needs in relation to the outsourced services
* Carry out administrative tasks deriving from the relationship with the suppliers
* Support in project management
* Daily Catering service
* Liaise with the school staff and the catering company for all the particular catering requests making sure they are properly delivered
* Support in the drawing, distribution of the satisfaction survey and collection of the results once or twice a year
* Monitors the costs of catering through the monthly report received by the caterer
* Events
* Liaise with all parties involved in the event (teachers, campus manager, marketing, the caterer, venues, etc.), to collect the details about the event and make sure that the planning and the tasks are properly delivered
* Support the PSG in the organization of their events
* Contact the external suppliers and request the quotations for the catering and other required services for the events
* Coordinate the preparation of the logistics, branded materials for school events, including invitations, programmes, signage and directional materials
* Verify the physical setup presentation of events, including placement of signage and printed materials are compliant to the branding
* Personal Skills & Competencies
* Organised and responsive, able to manage multiple tasks in parallel
* Problem solving, proactive and reliable
* Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
* Willing to work occasional evenings for event support
* Flexible and able to work in team
* Formal Qualifications / Experience
* A university degree or other equivalent professional qualification
* Hospitality and customer service
* Excellent standard of spoken and written English and Italian
